What seems like a lifetime ago now I subscribed to an unpopular theory that our lives are not linear or finite. It made much more sense to me that our lives are more than aimless wanderings without greater purpose and good and that we are much more than highly evolved micro-organisms.
That sense of Deja Vu...
The moment that past choices come to light and seem to make perfect sense, despite the fact that at the time they seemed inane and completely out of left field... possibly even cruel.
That 'Aha' moment when the pieces seem to perfectly align and fall into place - and the pathway, the journey, previously shrouded in hardship and misgivings becomes clear and accessible... achievable even.

It's an intricately weaved pattern, the Things that Shape us. A labyrinth of life choices, both good and bad, with little or no indicators that tell you if the journey that you make is the 'Best' one, all cleverly compiled into 'Us'. Even what appear to be our desired 'outcomes' are entirely subjective. Not many of us can read our own futures or anyone elses for that matter, and the best made contingency plans in the world could hardly foresee our 'external factors' yet to come. If our LifePaths are indications of anything, the available options can be things that you never see coming, things so seemingly insignificant or totally bizarre and nothing can stop their effects. They ripple through our Walk of Life, subtly altering our goals, the People we are yet to become.
These are the Things that Shape us.
Sometimes, what seems like a soul shattering trauma could, in fact, be your Definitive Life Altering Event.
